Step one School - FACILITIES

Step One School has five large, sky-lit classrooms and an outdoor space with sand, asphalt, and soft surface areas and a variety of play structures. There is also a large, parklike hillside with nature trails. The school has a full kitchen in the staff and office areas.

The tire swing lets several children swing together at once, often chanting in unison "Teacher, push us please!"

A long curvy slide goes down the hillside, with room for climbing on the soft bumpy surface to either side of the slide.

The two-level monkey bar structure encourages children to experiment and show off new skills.

A large wall of child-decorated tiles bounds one edge of the yard.

During hot weather the fountain on the hillside is open for water play.
